Airport Check-in
At every airport we have dedicated handling agents to make sure you get the best journey possible. Should you wish to check-in at the airport you'll need a ZipAir approved form of ID or your Passport if you are travelling internationally and your booking reference. If you haven't got a bundle which includes Airport Check-in, you'll need to pay a small fee to do so.

Bag Drop
If you have a bundle which includes checked in baggage you can head straight to the bag drop. If you are flying JustZip, there is a Fee for checking in your bags. The cheapest way to pay is online prior to check-in, but you can pay at the airport too. We offer a mix of automated bag drop and desk bag drop, but whichever is available, there will always be a member of staff on hand to help, and we'll always take the best care of your baggage.

Special Assistance
Everyone can fly with ZipAir Virtual - and we make it simple to do so. If you need any assistance from when you arrive at the terminal to arriving at your destination, you can let us know by using the app, ZipAir.uk, by calling our contact centre or even by letting us know on the day at the airport. To make sure you get the best service we ask that you let us know at least 72 hours in advance. Our airport partners have many ways of making your journey easier, from help with long-distance walking to stepless boarding of the aircraft, let us know how we can help you.

Flight Disruption
although we have a great on time performance record, delays do sometimes happen. We are committed to keeping you informed, comfortable and refreshed during delays. If your flight is delayed our ground handling partners will do their best to keep you informed, and if you use the ZipAir app, you'll be kept up to date.

For flights over 2 hours you'll be given a £4/€5 refreshment voucher to grab a bite or hot/soft drink at the airport. These are only valid on the day of your flight and at your departure airport. You can also get a full refund if your return flight is within 24 hours and booked as part of the same booking.

If your delay is over 4 hours, you can cancel your booking for a full refund or change the flight to a later date with no change fee or fare difference fee. You'll be able to do all this on the ZipAir app.

Should your flight be diverted, we will always provide transport free of charge, to the arrival airport you have booked to. We will not provide transport from the diversion airport to anywhere other than the intended destination airport.

Getting Onboard
It is important to keep checking the departure boards at the airport. This is because many airports don't make audible announcements. If you have the ZipAir app this will also keep you informed. When your gate is announced, make your way there straight away, this is important to ensure and ontime departure

We are committed to making boarding easy. We board customers in the following order:

  1. Passengers Requiring Assistance
  2. ZipFlex Customers
  3. Customers with Children under 2 years old
  4. Remaining Customers by Boarding Group

We board in boarding groups to reduce congestion in the aisle. Please listen carefully for your boarding group.

At ZipAir Virtual we always try to board using a Jetway. This is a covered walkway which attaches to the aircraft. It means step-free access to the aircraft without having to go outside.

Baggage Issues
If there are any issues with your baggage upon arriving at your destination, you must see the baggage desk situated inside the baggage hall. They will be able to provide you information on the next steps. If you are unsatisfied with this, please contact our customer relations centre.
